  • Karl Rühmann

    Karl Rühmann has published numerous children's books and has now written four novels, including  Der Held which was shortlisted for the Swiss Book Prize in 2020. His latest work, Matija Katun und seine Söhne was published in 2025. His writing plays at the edge of possibility and reality, a line he crosses with remarkable ease.

    As a Germanist, Hispanist, and literary scholar, he combines academic precision with narrative imagination. In addition to his writing, he leads seminars on narrative theory and publishing at the SBVV, and he captivates audiences as a public storyteller with his ability to bring stories to life.

    Karl Rühmann lives in Zurich.

  • Marcus Pfister

    Marcus Pfister is one of Switzerland's best-known children's book authors and illustrators. He achieved international fame with The Rainbow Fish and his books have been translated into over 60 languages and sold millions of copies worldwide.

    He has published numerous other children’s books in which he continually develops his visual style and makes themes such as friendship, sharing, and empathy accessible to young readers. Many of his works have been published internationally and have become established fixtures in the children’s book market.

    Alongside his ongoing projects, he stays in close dialogue with readers and the literary community.

    Marcus Pfister lives in Bern.

  • Leïla Rölli

    Leïla Rölli is a journalist who has long explored environmental and social questions. Drawing on her background in journalism and cognitive sciences, she brings together clarity of language with a distinctive talent for narrative expression.

    As founder of the media project En Vert et Contre Tout and co-founder of Ecosignum, she has been committed to raising ecological awareness in public spaces for years.

    Influenced by her motherhood, she is currently writing a series of children's books that playfully introduce young readers to nature awareness and ecological thinking.
